Meet Our New House Mom
Ms. Nancy is much more than simply Omega's new House Mother. In addition to the countless hours she spends making our house spectacular by planning a menu and supervising the staff, she devotes a good portion of her time to writing. Ms. Nancy is an accomplished author in the murder mystery genre!
Her eighth book is on the way in a prolific career that has included the 'Biggie Weatherford' series and the 'Judge Jackson Crain' mystery series. Ms. Nancy was nominated for an Agatha Award, named after Agatha Christie, for Best First Mystery Novel in 1996 for the first novel in her "Biggie Weatherford" Mystery/Detective novel series.
The series features Biggie Weatherford, a grandmother and amateur detective, and her grandson J.R. Weatherford of Job's Crossing, Texas. The series is well known in the regional amateur sleuth sub-genre and Nancy is known especially for her flair for "Southern gothic." She has always been fascinated by the landscape, language and lore of her childhood home in East Texas.
