Alpha Phi's Omega Chapter: An Incredible Story
Continued...
On Friday afternoon of May 14, 1920, the members of Delta Alpha were initiated into Alpha Phi. The ritual paraphernalia used in the Initiation ceremony was the original equipment used at the first Initiation at Syracuse University. Members from the Alpha Phi chapters of Alpha, Iota and Psi assisted in the Ritual.
"The Daily Texan" and the city papers ran a half-column account of the installation of the new Alpha Phi chapter, Omega, the next morning. Panhellenic formally welcomed Omega chapter with an elaborate luncheon at the Driskill Hotel for the New Initiates and members of the other eight sororities on campus.
The following September six initiated members and four pledges held their first Formal Rush at UT.
